Designed by Barbosa & Guimarães Arquitectos and completed in 2010, the Vodafone Headquarters in Porto is one of the city’s most iconic contemporary buildings. Located on Avenida da Boavista, the design reflects Vodafone’s motto—Life in Motion—through its dynamic, sculptural form.

The building’s white concrete exterior is marked by bold, angular geometries and faceted surfaces that seem to shift and fold like a crystalline structure. Large, irregular windows punctuate the façade, blending seamlessly into the form and allowing daylight to flood the interior.

Inside, the eight-storey structure includes open-plan offices, meeting areas, an auditorium, training rooms, and a Vodafone store. Its layout supports flexibility, collaboration, and innovation—values at the core of the company’s identity.

Celebrated for its architectural ambition, the Vodafone building received the ArchDaily “Building of the Year” award in the Institutional category in 2010. It remains a landmark of forward-thinking design in Porto’s urban fabric.
