PORTUGAL MODERN

Designed by architects Ricardo Vieira de Melo and Eduardo Rebelo, Complexo Pedagógico II (CP II) stands as a pivotal academic hub on the University of Minho’s Gualtar campus in Braga. Completed following a prize-winning design from 1991, the building embodies a thoughtful balance between modern architectural clarity and functional academic infrastructure. Hosting a variety of lecture halls, seminar rooms, and administrative spaces, CP II is also home to innovative environments such as the Active Learning Classroom “André Cruz de Carvalho,” reflecting the university’s ongoing commitment to pedagogical innovation. With its rational geometry and adaptable interiors, CP II continues to support a dynamic learning experience for students and faculty alike.
